Position description
We are looking for a resource with very good experience as a systems administrator and a broad spectrum of IT knowledge, for projects delivered remotely or at our customers’ sites (depending on customer’s policy), located mainly in downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position for which you will act as an expert consultant for these customers.

Tasks
- Understand customer requirements for monitoring data center equipment;
- Knowledge of large enterprise architecture principles;
- Technical skills and ability to work with a wide range of systems;
- Actively participate in the development and design of infrastructure solutions with customer stakeholders.
- Meet regularly with project managers, senior developers, product managers, and many others to discuss progress, define and overcome obstacles and identify solutions.
- Advance the technology vision across teams and collaborate with them to achieve it.
- Help unify and simplify monitoring solutions with other departments and teams.
- Be efficient in your approach to minimize the steps involved in implementing different solutions.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with network equipments, servers, data centers and industry monitoring technologies;
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure such as:
- Software architecture & infra;
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP);
- Telecoms (routers, switches, load balancers);
- Security (certificates, firewall, proxy);
- Virtualization (hypervisors/containerization);
- Comfortable with corporate security concepts;
- Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux environments;
- Familiarity with micro-service architecture, APIs, SQL/NoSQL;
- Knowledge of SNMP protocol;
- Experience with data transformation;
- Must be fluent in French;
- Must be functional in English;
- Ability to document solutions
- 8 to 10 years IT experience
